After hearing of a schoolmate being hospitalized and diagnosed with Juvenile diabetes on Saturday, Nolan Maple, a 7th grader at St. Nicholas School decided he wanted to do something nice for her.
Students returned to school on Aug. 7 at St. Nicholas School in Ripley County like their predecessors reaching back to 1861 when the school was founded as a ministry of St. Nicholas Parish.

The Fourth-Grade class at St. Nicholas School participated in The Association of Indiana Counties (AIC) annual essay contest. The focus this year was on “Ensuring the Administration of the Indiana Elections Process”.
St. Nicholas School seventh grade student, Robbie Steward, earned first place in the Serra Club’s Vocation Essay Contest. This year’s topic was, ” Who would you tell Pope Francis has influenced your faith journey the most?”
