The Education Commission of St. Nicholas School established a goal at the beginning of School Year 2016-17 to increase enrollment. That year, we began to accept Indiana Choice Scholarship Vouchers in an effort to support non-parishioner families who cannot afford the tuition cost. Now most families, whether parishioners or not, can qualify for the Choice Scholarship, which covers all of their school tuition and book costs.
Bringing in new families is our evangelization effort to welcome all to be a part of our forefathers' dream to have a thriving Catholic School. Considering St. Nicholas School?
Parents who are considering St. Nicholas School as an educational choice for their children can arrange a tour by contacting our main office at 812-623-2348 or
e-mail us at [email protected]. We will arrange for the student to shadow in the classroom for a full or half day. Drop off/pick-up information will be provided, along with lunch options and details.
Our Principal, Mr. Eric Feller and the prospective student's teacher will interview the family to ensure that St. Nicholas is the best fit for the student. -
Tuition Option (Out of Pocket or CHOICE Scholarship)
Most families can now qualify to receive a Choice Scholarship from the State of Indiana, which covers ALL of the Tuition and fees for the entire school year. (using the tax dollars already paid to the public school) All that is necessary is that you are an Indiana resident, you are 5 by October 1st of that school year, and your adjusted gross income on your 2024 Tax return is below the following guidelinesTuition for the coming school year is $5,600 per student (3-day Kindergarten prorated $3,600). Registration is $100 per student. Books & Fees are included in the tuition.
